Quoting software for kitchen and bathroom fitters

TradeKwote helps UK kitchen and bathroom fitters turn a survey into a clear, professional quote in about 60 seconds, from a fit-only kitchen to a full bathroom refit with every trade involved. You set the prices; TradeKwote writes up the job.

Kitchens and bathrooms are big-ticket jobs with lots of moving parts: several trades, products the customer may be supplying, and a sequence that has to run in the right order. A quote that sets all of that out gives the customer confidence and protects you when they ask "I thought that was included".

What a good kitchen or bathroom quote includes

  • Strip-out and disposal of the old kitchen or bathroom.
  • Every trade involved, such as plumbing, electrics, gas, plastering, tiling and decorating, and whether you're doing it or subcontracting.
  • Supply: which units, worktops, appliances, sanitaryware and tiles you're supplying, and which the customer is.
  • Fitting, including worktop templating and cutting, and appliance installation.
  • Making good and finishing, such as tiling, flooring, silicone and painting.
  • A payment schedule with a deposit, lead times for products, and how long the job will take.

How fitters usually price work

Fit-only jobs are often priced per unit or per job. Full refits are priced per job, built up from each trade's labour, materials and products, usually with a deposit on acceptance and stage payments as the job goes on. Because product lead times vary, many fitters ask for a deposit so they can order.

Regulations worth mentioning

  • Bathroom electrics and new kitchen circuits can be notifiable under Part P in England and Wales, so they must be done by a registered electrician or notified to building control.
  • Connecting or moving a gas hob or cooker must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
  • Moving drainage or adding a bathroom may need Building Regulations approval.
  • Show your own registrations, and those of your subcontractors, on the quote where they apply.

How TradeKwote helps kitchen and bathroom fitters

  • Dictate the survey room by room, and TradeKwote writes a scope that covers each trade in order.
  • You enter each line, such as strip-out, each trade, supply and fitting, with your prices. The AI never adds items or changes your prices.
  • Add up to 5 photos of the existing room so the scope matches it. Photos stay private.
  • Ask for a deposit to order products, and set payment terms.
  • Add notes to the customer about products they're supplying, lead times and access.
  • On Pro, accepted quotes become a deposit invoice and a final invoice, and unanswered quotes are followed up automatically.

Example

Job note: Bathroom refit, 2.2m x 1.9m. Strip out, move basin waste, new shower over bath, tile floor to ceiling, electric towel rail. Customer supplying suite. Your lines: strip-out £350, plumbing £850, electrics £320, tiling £1,100, fitting £600.

A quote covering each trade in order, noting the customer is supplying the suite, with a deposit, your prices and VAT.
